Appointments

You can arrange to see a doctor or nurse, by booking an appointment with reception. This can be done by phone or in person. Wherever possible, you should see the doctor of your choice, however sometimes you will be offered an appointment with another doctor in the practice.

On arrival for your appointment, please report to reception. If you cannot make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer that time to another patient.

Routine appointments are available up to 2 weeks in advance. Usually, same day appointments are available for more urgent cases. We also offer a telephone consultation with a GP and a home visit service for housebound or terminally ill patients

Requests for telephone consultations and home visits are needed as early as possible, ideally before 10.30am. In addition, please tell the receptionist the nature of your call, as this may assist your doctor to assess and prioritise your call.

Privacy

If you need to discuss a personal matter with reception in private, please ask. We will be redesigning our reception and waiting areas to offer a more private space for you to talk with our receptionist.

Chaperones

As part of some consultations a full examination may be required. All patients are entitled to have a chaperone (someone who will stay with them during the appointment) present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel this is required or it will help them feel more comfortable. If you think it would be helpful for one of our trained staff members to act as a chaperone then please request this at the time of booking an appointment to ensure an appropriately trained member of staff is available.

If you would prefer to be examined by a health professional of the same gender as yourself please let us know and we will do our best to comply with your wishes.

If you prefer, you can have a family member or friend present to provide support.

New Patients

We are currently accepting new patients and you will need to register during practice hours. To save time and to give you an indication of the type of information we will require, you can download the following Registration Form, fill it in and bring it with you when you visit the practice.
